Laubach began a partnership with the San Diego County Library Adult Literacy ESL program in 2006. Because of this invaluable collaboration and financial support, we are able to provide professionally-trained tutors, materials, and spaces where learners can study with their tutors in classes or on a one-on-one basis. Our collaboration was selected by the National Association of Counties as a winner of the 2008 Acts of Caring Awards, which recognizes the top county volunteer programs in the U.S.
We are a member of ProLiteracy, a nonprofit international literacy organization based in Syracuse, New York.
VolunteerMatch is a national organization that helps us recruit volunteers to teach English. Their popular service welcomes millions of visitors a year and has become the preferred Internet recruiting tool for more than 75,000 nonprofit organizations.
