January 5, 2022 UPDATE: We continue to follow individual city and California state guidance on COVID-19 safety measures. As vaccination rates increase and health recommendations continue to evolve, some tutors and students have begun to meet outdoors in public areas while adhering to social distance and mask rules. We will re-evaluate next steps for our overall literacy programs after January 15, 2022 once we are in contact with our host locations. We hope to resume in-person classes for everyone soon!
AUGUST 3, 2020 UPDATE: We continue to follow city and state guidance on coronavirus safety measures. Because we meet in churches, libraries, community centers, and other public locations, we will remain closed for an undetermined time. While we all want to resume in-person tutoring, we feel it is not safe for tutors or students at this time.
NOTE: Some centers and tutors may be holding online classes for students. Please contact an individual site coordinator or director for more information.
EFFECTIVE MARCH 11, 2020: Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all in-person Laubach activities including classes and trainings are currently suspended indefinitely.
We will keep this page updated should local and national stay-at-home orders and guidelines change.
We encourage you to keep informed on COVID-19 via these official health organizations:
